city hunter review

i have previously did a short review on this years ago but i decided to do a full review since i have rewatched some parts of this recently. This show is a perfect mix of drama genres, having politics, revenge, romance, comedy, crime, action, thriller and drama all in once and it actually works like a charm. I love every single one of the characters in here, i love the perfectly paced and addictive storyline, the overloading chemistry between Lee Min Ho and Park Min Young and the great directing. Btw, Lee Min Ho and Park Min Young briefly dated after this drama (also known as MinMin couple), despite many people saying that they never dated, it was just something the producers did to promote this drama but the point is the dating news came AFTER the drama so obviously or probably it's true. (they had great chemistry and looked good anyway so im actually hoping they will get back together again but what are the chances)

REASONS WHY THIS IS A MUST WATCHTHE CHARACTERS AND THE AMAZING CAST:
Park Min Young as Kim NaNa

As much as the story revolves around city hunter, our heroine actually plays a large part too! Nana is a amazing character, she's strong, cute, brave, cute, gorgeous, independent and pretty much everything i wish i could be. Nana initially works many part time jobs to pay for her father's hospital bills but ends up getting the job as a bodyguard for the blue house (she's a judo black belt). Park Min Young is hands down one of the most gorgeous actress (yes i know she looks really different before her surgery but well not everyone can look even close to her beauty after surgery), park min young brightens nana character and suits nana really well having to portray this strong character really well. I have seen many people saying Park Min Young's acting is just average having to have little facial expression however i don't exactly agree, i think she is natural and lovable so it doesn't bother me anyway.
Lee Min Ho as Lee Yoon Sung/City Hunter

Can we just give Lee Min Ho an award for being able to look so freakin good in every single scene and angle? While most people fall in love with Lee Min Ho in Boys Over Flowers, i fall in love with him here. Tbh i can't stand him in BOF *sorry*, Boys Over Flowers has an horrible script in my opinion and i can't even finish it despite the fact that kim bum, kim hyun joong are in it too. Yoon Sung is a guy that came back to korea to take revenge for his father thus lead him to become City Hunter, He is funny, cute, strong, smart and overall a great hero for the drama. Lee Minho's acting has always been great in my option and this of course was no exception, tbh this role feels tailored made for Lee Min Ho which of course is a good thing.

The story is fantastically perfect, as said before, this show did a great job with the many mix of genres making even the boring politics element interesting to watch, the pacing is really good too, making a 20 episode drama easy to watch. i LOVE this directer having to watch most of his dramas (Master Sun, Brilliant Legacy, Princess Prosecutor) and all were a pleasure to watch, i don't even have to worry about the directing from this director at all having to know it will definitely be pretty.

    IN CONCLUSION:
Even if you are not a Lee Min Ho fan, you will fall in love with him anyway after this. <3
    personal ratings: 10/10
    how much it deserves: 10/10
