Angel Eyes review

Firstly, sorry for not blogging for soooo long. I'm having my major exams soon so i can't really blog often but my exams are ending in two months so i can blog as much as i want after that haha. I've watched this quite some time ago and i've to admit, despite me enjoying this completely, it is a show that i forgot right after i finished it hahaha, maybe this is a good thing as it makes me move on to a new drama easily. Honestly, i has low expectations upon hearing that boys over flowers writer is writing this (i couldn't stand that show at all but well, it's an adaptation of a manga so i can't blame the writer completely) and having to watch Koo Hye Sun only in BOF, i can't like her at all so i was planning to give this a skip but after watching the running man episode with the Angel Eyes cast and loving the cast, i decided to give this a try. (and yes it was worth it)

Reasons why i loved this:
THE CHARACTERS AND OF COURSE THE ACTORS

Koo Hye Sun as Yoon Soo Wan
CAN I SAY THAT KOO HYE SUN IS SUPER SUPER GORGEOUS THROUGHOUT THE SHOW!? I was surprised how much she change (appearance//acting style//emotions) with a year(?) break and no she did not went for plastic surgery. I think a few actress actually need to take a break like how she did to improve their acting style, *not gonna mention names ok haha*. Yoon Soo Wan aka our heroine got blind through an car accident that lead to the death of her mother and also the hero's father as he was trying to save them, due to the lost of her mum, her dad got really depressed and stayed away from Soo Wan so she stayed alone although she was blind (ok that's really mean). She met the hero and her life changed, his family treat her like their own and love her deeply so of course Soo Wan became a cheerful person and fell in love for the first time but the hero's mother got into an car accident and she signed a will to say that she will donate her eyes to soo wan if she dies, soo wan father whom is also the hospital director got really anxious so he..... killed her. Ok this show if a little screwed up (it's a melo drama, all melo dramas are supposed to be messed up and screwed up ok). After many years (i forgot the exact number), Soo Wan started working at 911 as it's the dream of the hero (they lost contact as he went overseas to study while she was unaware), ok let me just say Soo Wan is a great character after she grows up, she is strong, sassy, brave, she know what she wants and she is direct so she is an fun and easy character to watch.

Lee Sang Yoon as Park Dong Joo/Dylan
Lee Sang Yoon's dimples are omg so gorgeous!!!! This is my first time watching him and i have to admit he is not those instantly appealing guys but i like him as Dong Joo. Dong Joo is such a perfect guy urgh he is literally perfect ok (probably doesn't exist in the world),  he falls in love with our heroine at first sight not knowing she is blind but after knowing, he stills help her despite her pushing him away but eventually he won her heart. Tragedy came and he had to go overseas to study and have medical treatment for his sister who is ill so he left after leaving a letter to the sick Soo Wan (she never received it though..), he calls Soo Wan dad his dad to as he helps him because he felt guilty of his actions but he fell in love with Dong Joo, he ended up loving Dong Joo like he was his son but of course he never lets Dong Joo and Soo Wan meets due to guilt of his sin. Dong Joo became a doctor with Soo Wan's dad help in Boston but he secretly came back to Korea to work without his dad knowing and he found Soo Wan whom does not recognize him as she was blind in the past but she can feel a sense of familiarity. Eventually shit happens, and a million things including the past became problems to their relationship. (pardon my laziness to list out everything because i'll probably end up telling the whole story haha)

I'm gonna do only two character reviews here but gonna talk about others that i fell in love with too, Dong Joo's sister whom is acted by a new actress that is sooooo cute (both the actress and character are really cute), Seungri's character Teddy, i've never liked Seungri but i have to admit he acts well and is super cute too haha i think i'm actually a fan now. Soo Wan's father is supposingly the evil character but i still like how he fell in love with Dong Joo deeply and helped him all the way, they even go fishing together frequently, another evil character is actually Soo Wan's fiance mum but the thing is, there isn't a singly horrible person in the show, they did what they did just because they wanted to save the person they love (honestly, if you were in the situation, what would you have done?i don't know but probably many people will hurt others to save the ones they love despite it being wrong). And last but not least, our second male and female lead which are marvelous character acted by fantastic people. <3

IN CONCLUSION

PERSONAL RATINGS: 9.5/10
HOW MUCH IT DESERVES: 9/10
Honestly, the story is really common but i love how it makes me feel fuzzy and warm while watching the characters interact, the characters are the amazing thing about the show so it kinda covers out some boring parts of the story so i thoroughly enjoyed this. Honestly, the otp looks super good together but lacks chemistry though. This melo drama isn't everyone's cup of tea but if you are looking for a somewhat warm and classic kinda kdrama story, this is definitely the drama for you!!
