god's gift-14 days review

I loved every second of this show, it feels like a 16 hour movie full of suspense and of course it was fun and a heart racing journey. Korean dramas always seem to be using time travelling as a theme but this was different, it gives a 100% completely different vibe and i have to admit i love it.
Reasons why you should watch this:
1. The super awesome characters and of course the cast
Lee Bo Young as Kim Soo Hyun
How can a 35 year old women look so perfect in every scene even when she is covered with blood? Lee Bo Young is super gorgeous and of course her acting is perfect too. She became one of my favorite actress since I Hear Your Voice (she's really lucky to always be getting great drama roles). Kim Soo Hyun is a mother in her young 30s, happily married with a job as a broadcast writer whom life seems perfect until her daughter gets kidnapped. Lee Bo Young was absolutely perfect for the role, i really couldn't think of anyone else portraying the role, she was so convincing as a mother desperately trying to save her child, she deserves another daesang for her acting here haha

Jo Seung Woo as Ki Dong Chan
I totally understand why so many people love Jo Seung Woo because after watching this i'm positive that i'm in love with this ahjussi too. He was so charming in this, Ki Dong Chan is a super lovable character although he is flawed everywhere he is so cute ahhhhh. Ki Dong Chan is a man in his late 20s that traveled back 14 days with Kim Soo Hyun (unintentionally), so he is the only one that believes Soo Hyun and clearly knows that she isn't crazy because he knows what has happened, he initially didn't wanted to help Soo Hyun but due to the fact that he could safe his brother in the process too, he decided to help her to change their future. Ki Dong Chan is a great character, even Soo Hyun's daughter (the one they are trying to safe) fell in love with him and wants to get married with him 10 years later hehe so cute haha.

Jung Gyeo Woon as Hyun Woo Jin
I have to admit i love Jung Gyeo Woon before this so i can feel my heart flutter whenever i see him on screen hehe. I'm kinda disappointed with the lack of screen time he receives in this show, his character is also clearly undeveloped but well.....Hyun Woo Jin is Soo Hyun's first love(they almost got married but Woo Jin's parents didn't allow so they broke up however Woo Jin still has feelings for Soo Hyun), he is now a detective/police in his early 30s and yup that's all we know about him.

Kim Yoo Bin as Han Saet Byul
Kim Yoo bin did a fantastic job as Saet Byul aka Soo Hyun's daughter. Saet Byul is a really cute 9 year old that is over friendly and trust people way to easily. She just runs around and get herself into trouble a lot.... well she's only 9 right? Saet Byul isn't a easy character to portray, having the story revolving around her so Yoo Bin did a great job being only 9 years old haha. (btw she did a similar role as Lee Dong Wook's daughter in Fugitive of Joseon)

Baro as Ki Young Gyu
I've seen Baro slightly in reply me 1994(i didn't manage to finish cause i found it pretty boring oops), Baro was cute here as Yong Gyu whom as a teenager with mental disorder thus acts like a child and also Saet Byul's only friend.

Kim Tae Woo as Han Ji Hoon
Han Ji Hoon is Saet Byul's father and Soo Hyun's wife whom is a human rights lawyer. He seem to be the perfect husband and father until the story develops and the truth starts coming out....

Synopsis

A time-slip drama about a mother who goes back fourteen days in time to save her daughter from being kidnapped and murdered.

FROM DRAMAWIKI
First let me talk about what i wish happened, this drama has 0 romance which is kinda rare for a prime time k drama (not saying it's bad but...) I wish Lee Bo Young's character and Jo Seung Woo's character have a love line, the show gave hints on a possible romance but never further developed it which is super wasted since Lee Bo Young and Jo Seung Woo have chemistry and looks so good together urgh. I kinda wish Jo Seung Woo and Lee Bo Young will get casted as the leads in a Hong Sister's drama, i can literally feel their sizzling chemistry in a romantic comedy. (Yes i know Lee Bo Young is married with the super perfect Ji Sung but that doesn't mean that you can't have on screen chemistry and star in a Hong Sister's drama the way Cha Seung Won did)
The story was tight, well planned with twist and turns everywhere which is addictive but obviously the writer went out of time to complete the story, if they were to be given 1 more episode extension i am pretty sure this would be one of the best korean dramas but this show lost in the ratings battle having only to achieve around a high single digit throughout it's run(it was against Empress Ki pshh), if it was well received i am sure a 1 episode extension would be given. Not to be a spoiler but the ending was all types of confusing i had to watch a few times and read recaps before understanding it..... (in case you watched and don't understand too, read dramabean's recap). I shouldn't spoil the ending anymore lol although i have loads to rant about the ending.
This drama reminds me of the korea movie The Flu (with Jang Hyuk and Soo Ae). Jang Hyuk's character reminds me so much of Ki Dong Chan that i get confuse sometimes, the story was pretty similar too although set in different backgrounds. The Flu is set in a town in Seoul that is contaminated with a disease and Jang Hyuk is a man that is trying to help and safe Soo Ae and her daughter. I love The Flu so obviously i enjoyed this too
The directing was great that i felt like i was watching a movie, duhh it's a compliment.
IN CONCLUSION:
A great drama with a few flaws but still worth watching and manage to keep me entertained for the whole 16 hours.
Personal Ratings: 10/10
Quality Of The Show: 9.5/10

IF YOU LIKE THIS.....
Do give The Flu a try, it's a great movie that kept me feeling the same way God's gift did.
